In 2011, County Health Rankings ranked our home field first among Texas counties as a healthy place to live. Counties were scored on a wide range of factors so that counties could evaluate areas for improvement. 2012 rankings will be out in March.
It’s not the first time Georgetown and other Central Texas cities have earned high rankings for quality of life and business climate. Last year, Austin was named #6 overall among best cities for job growth by Forbes magazine, and the Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood area ranked #1 for small cities.
