Farm fresh eggs, Central Texas honey and pasture-raised beef are some of the fresh foods available via the Georgetown Farmers Market Association. Its popular Sun City Georgetown market is open year round on Tuesdays, and on Thur., April 5, the Georgetown market re-opens with the bounty of the season. The Farmers’ Market is in a NEW location, 1525 W. University Ave. in the Georgetown Church of Christ parking lot at the corner of DB Wood and Hwy 29.
According to their Facebook page, it’s not just in Georgetown either. Now Round Rock shoppers can get the fresh-off-the-farm goods, too. The Round Rock market opens Saturday, April 7 from 9 a.m. -noon (*new time*), in the Scott and White Hospital parking lot, “caddy corner” to IKEA, on University Blvd.
Visit their website for a list of vendors from 11 counties in Central Texas. In addition to farm fresh produce and eggs, market members sell artisan breads, edible and ornamental plants, soap, honey, canned items and pecans. Williamson County homeowners are lucky to have such a bountiful market in the community.
